 Visual Art

The subjects of my work are influenced by my surroundings and Contemporary
Culture. For example, the interconnection between the city and architecture,
music and sounds, travelling and traffic. The dependence of everyday life on technology
and how it has become a necessity in our daily routine. The concept behind my work is
to show how any subject matter can be translated into art context and
be depicted in such a way that enables the viewer to see its aesthetic elements
rather than its use or meaning. I also use alternative materials to canvas,
such as corduroy, denim, cotton and textiles where I'm trying to incorporate
different textures and feels in my work, in order to have a variety of surfaces to
work with. By bringing together elements from different frames
of reference, which I relate myself to, I am creating a context of visually explored
concepts, where composition is partly symmetrical and partly abstract depending on
the subject that I am working on.
